MLB commissioner Bud Selig appears to be “seriously considering” reinstatement for Pete Rose nearly 20 years after the hit king was banned from baseball for gambling on the sport, according to a report in the New York Daily News. Hank Aaron’s support for Rose’s Hall of Fame inclusion, which he mentioned at this weekend’s ceremonies in Cooperstown, N.Y., is a strong indication of Selig’s possible action, the Daily News reported.
I think Pete Rose not being in the Hall is one of the biggest injustices in baseball, save for the Cleveland Indians logo. Sure, he made a mistake by betting on baseball, but his play speaks for itself. This is a Hall of Fame based on play on the field. If they started a Hall of Jerks, I’m sure Joe Morgan would already be lobbying to get in.

If Pete were allowed back in baseball, and then was inducted into the Hall, I would set my DVR to capture the greatest amount of grown men crying in one place ever, during his induction ceremony.
