Over here at Da’ Sink we are happy to post the first video in our new microseries “Shooting The Sh!t”. Our first victim subject is retro soul king Black Joe Lewis. We shot the proverbial sh!t with him after he performed with his band the Honeybears at the Troubadour in LA, chopped up the best moments, are going to deliver them to you as a five course meal every day this week. If you’ve only listened to “Boom Boom Pow” this year and are somehow not familiar with Joe, RUN don’t stop to your local download website or big box appliance outlet and pick up his fantastic “Tell ‘Em What Your Name Is!” While you wait for the downloads to complete check out part one of our interview with him, where he talks about the birth of the Honeybears, opening for Little Richard, and meeting Britt from Spoon at a local gig in Austin. Come back tomorrow for your next helping of Black Joe Lewis.
